Have you always wanted to start the journey towards inversions in your Asana practice but have just held onto too much fear or angst about taking the leap and going upside down?
Would you like to refine, redefine and streamline the basics structure when placing palms down and feet up? Are you keen to build a greater connection to your core, to your centre of gravity, finding different ways of opening hands, wrists, shoulders, belly and feet? Does learning just how to fall out of inversions sound like a good idea. And learning how to embrace them, like an even better one?
Well then this BE STRONG INTO HANDSTAND Intensive could be just the way to spend your weekend. Come Play.
Friday 11 May – 19.00 – 21.00
Friday Night is OPEN NIGHT:
We focus on opening the body – especially the wrists, hands, forearms and shoulders. I will teach you subtle and deep stretches for these areas.
Breath work will also be a big focal point, this is to encourage a calm and connected sense in your body whilst stepping into the path of fear for many of us.
With some simple Kriya work, we will draw deeper awareness to the belly and abdominal region, learning to soften into it. ( Bring your forrest rolls along and make sure not to eat just before class).
We will learn the set up of hands in arm balances and inversions as well as touch on headstands and forearm stand. Hip openers are also on the menu.
R300 per session // R750 for all 3
