- Exploration of functional physical techniques and concepts of movement to expand personal capacity
- Partner exercises and playful situations will challenge us to adapt, let go and find joy in our movement
- Discussion & sharing of experiences

NB: If you are not used to moving on the floor please bring light long pants, a light long sleeve top and socks

- The Space You Hold - Friday
How do you hold space for yourself?
In a world of continuos distraction how do we live from an authentic space?
This workshop will explore simple tools to harness the senses, ground with the breath, dissolve tension, listen to the environment & move in clear communication with our bodies, gravity and the floor.

- The Space You Create - Saturday
From the clear space that we hold, what actions are we making in the world?
What do we expose ourselves to and allow ourselves to experience?
This workshop will reveal observable movements of the body that occur naturally, with this functional and tangible quality we are able to move fluidly through the spine & joints and respond accurately with our movement, creating our space in the world.

- The Space Where We Meet - Sunday
What happens when the space we hold and create comes in to communication with another? How does this conversation sound in the space where we meet?
This workshop will explore our capacity to listen, to ignite and follow a moving pathway, to interact in a fluid free form conversation of movement while interacting with another human.

Dave's bio:

I go by Dave. And I am first and foremost a student.

My experience so far has been influenced and inspired by Henry Madini of CAMA Muay Thai SA, Jim Harrington and Simon Borg-Olivier of Yoga Synergy, Aditi Gaur of the Himalayan Yoga Tradition, Cameron Shayne of Budokon University, David Aghion of Gracie Barra, Richie Lowe of Renzo Gracie Cape Town, Tom Weksler’s Movement Archery, Tomislav English’s Ferus Animi Terra Nova and Iesu Escalante’s Shifting methods, Shaolin Wushu and Acrobatics.

My process is to study with these and other teachers, to research through my personal practice and develop a way in which we all contribute to one another’s lives and work. What I discover through my study and practice is what I share. My work is to assist and facilitate the individual to create their own path through self-awareness.

I currently host masterclasses, weekend workshops, monthly immersion’s, and retreats in South Africa and abroad.
