Upside down Inside out
with Sheona Mitchley

Suspension yoga allows practitioners of all levels to receive the many benefits of an inversion practice in a safe and supported way.

Hanging upside down in the hammock can help to lengthen ligaments, stretch muscles and connective tissues and decompress the spine. It can also aid digestion by stretching and releasing the abdomen. It encourages detoxification and boosts the immune system by supporting the flow of lymph. Circulation is improved and the endocrine and nervous systems are stimulated and nourished.

Along with the physical benefits of the practice, the mind is challenged to confront fears of being upside down. Being suspended encourages us to trust our bodies and the support of the hammock. Moving into and holding inversions helps us shift our perspectives.

This workshop will take you on a playful journey to flip your body and challenge your mind in new and exciting ways.
