CPT: Beginners Series at Yogazone

A set of 4 workshops in springtime. Each a separate theme but recommended as a full series.

Whether a complete beginner or fairly new to yoga, this series of workshops will enable an easier and deeper understanding and practice of the key postures and elements of Vinyasa Yoga. Become familiar with breath work, asana series and easy flow and learn a safe and modified practice for your own body. Building up from confident foundations and ready to happily and energetically flow straight into any Vinyasa class.

Saturday mornings. 11:00am - 12:30am

WEEK 1: 31 August - Breath and pranayama (breathing in yoga), basic warm up and cool down postures, Sun Salutation and variations.

WEEK 2: 07 September - Standing postures and series and balance. Structure and integrity of the poses and gaining equilibrium.

WEEK 3: 14 September - Forward folds and back bends - the magnificence of spinal movement and stretching. Modifications and individual best practice.

WEEK 4: 21 September - Twists, extensions and basic inversions. Recap of the full series. Finishing with a flowing Vinyasa session.
