ABOUT

Lylius Farm Cottage & Campsites are located on the Krieberg Farm, a 1700 hectare organic rooibos and buchu Farm, at the foot of the Cederberg Mountains.

The farm is located between the towns of Citrusdal and Clanwilliam – for the perfect authentic country experience surrounded by majestic mountain scenery. Peaceful getaway, a short 5km gravel road from the N7 to the farm, easily accessible with normal car.

At Lylius Farm Cottage & Campsites, your days will be active in nature discoveries rhythmed by nature sounds, and your nights will be peacefully lightened by an incredibly clear and bright star sky.

Here you can find peace and tranquillity, ideal for romantic getaways or for family gatherings. Our farm is about 1700 hectares. Activities for nature lovers and the adventurous include day hikes, rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, bird watching, stargazing and swimming.

There are various mountain bike circular routes on and around the farm to beat the off-track and discover the wild fynbos kingdom - please remember to bring your own mountain bike!

With a swimming pool and a kid play area with a tree jungle gym on the farm at the Grassfield Campsites, we got you covered for fun school holidays!

CALLING NATURE LOVERS

Lylius is the right place if you're looking for a peaceful getaway. Our days are quiet and rhythmed by the sounds of nature; our nights are peacefully lightened by a clear and bright starlit sky.

We have four amazing open hiking trails for you and your pawed best friends:

  • The Lookout trail (about 2km)

  • The Buchu trail (about 1km)

  • The Rock Art trail (about 2km)

  • The Nieuwoudt Pass trail (~14km Route / also 4x4 route)

There are many more to be discovered and marked, and you are welcome to explore!

Our farm is about 1700 hectares, with many hidden gems, hiking trails and MTB routes.
This is also an amazing birding environment with several water birds nesting at the farm dam.

Kayaking, canoeing and fishing activities are possible at the farm dam so long as you bring your own equipment.
