“I travel broadly but have spent a lot of time in Bali and Southeast Asia offering workshops and trainings and master classes. After I finished my teacher training is where my learning and exploring truly began. I was inspired by Jason Lawner who mentored me and introduced me to incredible teachers such as Christina Sell and others who had a deep thirst for intelligent alignment. However as great as those teachers were, I felt there was something missing or incomplete in what was being taught.  I researched and practiced and spent the next years, studying movement modalities and philosophies from different disciplines trying to find the thread that underlies the spirit of the hero’s journey of human experience. I began to challenge the establishment and widely held beliefs, citing and studying sources on the cutting edge of anatomy, kinesthetics, physiology, embryology and fascial research, seeking out the latest research and re-envisioning  what true healthy movement is and what it truly means to move well, in a way that is sustainable, functional, powerful, transformative, nourishing and in line with the authentic spirit of the search for what we really are.”

Devon Tao

“I’m from 'everywhere' right now, I guess! I grew up in the United States and now my husband Carlos and I travel, teaching workshops, classes, retreats, bodywork, movement and yoga trainings.I’ve trained with many great teachers and different styles from all over the world, from Ashtanga and Bhakti in the States, to Vinyasa and alignment based systems in the jungles of South America and beautiful South East Asia.

From these trainings grew a search to uncover the underlying magic in all systems, and how to access that magic through our bodies, our anatomy, our philosophy and how we move.

The more I’ve discovered and learned, the more I’ve fallen in love over and over with the beauty of the body and mind in movement, and how it is accessible to EVERYBODY beyond dogma or styles.  I love taking the incredible science of anatomy, structure, function, psychology and philosophy and reframing it in a way that is simple, inspiring, entertaining, accessible and transformational.”
