Do you enjoy getting into the mountains and hitting the trails? Or some yoga? Or do you just want to escape from the city and enjoy a break? If so, we’ve got something special for you!
Following on from our 2 sold-out events in March and July, we invite you to join us at The Greyton Trail & Yoga Weekend - Summer Edition. The weekend comprises 3 trail runs (short and long options for each) and 4 yoga sessions, and a great line-up of other optional activities, including; talks on running and nutrition, superfood cooking demos, and an opportunity to explore other activities in and around Greyton including swimming in rock pools, wine tasting, star gazing, and a lot more! All at a price that won’t break the bank.
In additional to the activities, participants will also receive a generous goodie bag, and stand a chance to win great spot prizes!
For this edition we have added a luxury accommodation option for those who aren't into the rustic vibes.
The weekend takes place in the beautiful small town of Greyton. There are two accommodation options; the main accommodation at the Greyton EcoLodge, and luxury accommodation option at The Lady Grace. Breakfast will be served at your chosen accommodation option. Dinners, lunch and brunch will served at the NGK Church Hall on Main Road (300 meters from both accommodation options).
The start and finish of the trail runs, and the yoga venue will be at the Eco Lodge. Talks and Demos will take place at the Eco Lodge and the Church Hall.
The Greyton EcoLodge:
Is a rustic getaway situated on the edge of a nature reserve in the foothills of the picturesque Riviersonderend Mountains. It provides basic accommodation in twin and double rooms, dorm rooms, and offers camping. Bathrooms are communal. It’s the perfect place from which to explore the mountains and escape the rat race of the city.
The Lady Grace: luxury accommodation option:
In the heart of Greyton, you'll find The Lady Grace. Tucked away in a peaceful little nook on Oak street.
The Lady Grace offers a serene country setting where huge trees shade a gorgeous open courtyard filled with tables and chairs, benches and a good ol' fashioned porch swing.
Each room has its very own porch for late night cuddles and whispery chats. All rooms have their own bathrooms with shower and soft white towels.
It would hardly be a relaxing weekend if you had to worry about food! All meals and snacks are included. The menu, prepared by cookbook author Leozette Roode and Chef Jessamine HB from the Peace of Eden, Vegan Nature Lodge & Forest Retreat, will be full of healthy and nutritious, but decadent, options that will leave no-one feeling hungry! The focus will be on tasty, healthy, sustainable food options, and all food will be plant-based.
Other Greyton attractions:
Farmers Market (Saturday 10-12)
Farm Animal Sanctuary
Mountain Biking (own bikes, or rent)

About your facilitators
Off the Couch
We think the world needs more adventures that get people off the couch, and living their best lives! And these need to actually be affordable to everyday people. We looked around for trips to take ourselves, but couldn't find interesting looking ones that we could afford, so we decided to create our own. We're into getting outdoors, exploring, meeting new people, experimenting with good food, trail running, yoga, and so much more! These are the kind of things we offer at our events. We'll be there at the events, and where possible we'll be taking part (unless of course you want us to orgnanise a private event for you - then we'll stay more in background).
Arlene De Abreu
Arlene (Linky) started doing yoga to complement her running, and to avoid getting injured. She completely fell in love with the way yoga made her feel, on a physical, spiritual and mental level and wanted to learn more. She did her Teacher’s Training and Mentorship, as well as Creative Sequencing Advanced Teacher Training, under Maya Pratt from Unraveled Yoga Studio. To deepen her practice she spent two weeks in Rishikesh in India living and practicing in an ashram.. Her home studio is Unraveled yoga studio in Cape Town which teaches Vinyasa, and she also teaches at Virgin Active, as well as privately. Over the weekend, Linky will teach four yoga classes to our guests. Classes will cater for all levels. She will also be giving a short workshop on how yoga can help to improve running performance.
