Gaining confidence in ourselves starts with finding our breath. This is the focus of the mainly Hatha style yoga classes, with Vinyasa Flow and Ashtanga influences. Enjoy a slow tempo in challenging poses, allowing time to ease deeper into the stretch. Hatha is the original style of yoga and where all other styles stem from.
Lead by Melian (My lion), hence the name Lion Yoga. With 11 years of experience exploring the different styles she realised that Hatha is her favourite form of yoga. Enjoy occasional guest teachers with varied backgrounds.
Regular Morning Yoga Classes
Thursday to Sunday mornings at 8:30 AM to 9:45 AM. Beginner friendly with many poses where advanced students can push themselves. Remember your yoga mat and band from the bike shop, next to reception. R120 (includes conservancy fee). Classes take place in the chapel below the restaurant and alongside the lake.
SUP Yoga on the Lake
Try something different with Stand Up Paddle Board yoga. Beginner classes to find some balance, work your core and have some fun. In the heart of the Cradle Moon Conservancy is the spectacular 32 hectare Cradle Moon Lake which is home to numerous species of fish, birds, reptiles and many more! Run and Yoga
Forget game drive, try a game run. Choose between a 5km or 10km routes and enjoy a restorative session of yoga afterwards. Get fit and flexible while having fun.
Hike and Yoga
Enjoy regular morning yoga class and pair it with a guided 2hr hike of The Cradle Moon Conservancy. Hike friendly yoga followed by a gentle hike up to the Swartkops Mountain. Cradle Moon Lakeside Game Lodge is apart of a 1700 hectare nature reserve, which is on the edge of The Cradle of Humankind area. The nature reserve is home to zebra, giraffe, impala, springbok, wildebeest, ostrich, duiker and rhino.
Devote time to your self finding calmness in the Cradle of Humankind. Enjoy a guided mediation to relax the mind and feel a release into the whole body. Your mind, body and soul with thank you after a meditation session.
