Mysore Yoga Cape Town offers daily authentic Ashtanga Yoga classes open to all student levels. The Mysore-style method of teaching allows students to progress at their own pace whilst working one-on-one with a qualified teacher in a group setting. Although there is much movement in this practice the central focus is on breathing with awareness and moving to ones own breath.
Sharline Rofail heads the Ashtanga program and brings with her over a decade of dedicated practice and teaching experience. She regularly travels to Mysore, India, to deepen her understanding of yoga and to connect to the Ashtanga Yoga lineage of Sri K. Patthabi and Sharath Jois. Her teaching style is gentle yet focused and encouraging. When approached with softness, patience, perseverance and curiosity, anyone can benefit from the Ashtanga Yoga practice.
