PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE:
Build upon and expand understanding of the fundamental concepts of the practice and teaching of yoga.
Learn to teach principles and techniques of yoga that are more advanced, detailed and subtle.

YOGA ALLIANCE REGISTERED YOGA SCHOOL
The Shala – Cape Town Yoga School is a fully registered school with Yoga Alliance. This course requires 100% attendance to meet Yoga Alliance standards.
Module 1: Introspection (16-25 august 2019)
Deepen our understanding, study and introspection of where we are as students and teachers of yoga.
Use the 7-chakra system as the internal and external roadmap to look deeper into our natural talents, areas of ease and light.
Explore areas of discomfort, areas where we are numb or shut down, and bring them to the light for transformation and growth.
Module 2: Revitalization (18-27 october 2019)
Purify, cleanse and revitalize the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies using Kriya, lymphatic stimulation and Pranayama.
Focus on strengthening the digestive system through yoga asana.
Purification of limiting beliefs through study of the Upanishads and Yoga Sutras.
Deeper study of the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic and digestive systems.
Module 3: Moving Forward (14-28 february 2020)
Finding and refining each student’s life’s work and purpose.
Explore the three main paths of Yoga: Heart, Mind and Action.
Exploration of Yoga and healthy lifestyle.
Fundamentals of effective communication and body language.
7-10am Asana practice
10:30-12pm Module-specific practice and theory e.g. Pranayama, Kriya, Meditation etc.
12-13:30 Lunch break
13:30-15:30 Anatomy & Physiology, Yoga Philosophy.
3.30-5pm Module-specific teacher’s clinic e.g. teaching skills, effective assists, prop usage etc.
Student Initiated Module – Morning session: Each student will spend the day creating a class that incorporates the taught components of days 1-7 of each module – then present their work for feedback.
Practical exams, feedback and discourse (plus module 3 graduation ceremony).

Full price per module = R15,000
Early-Bird Special = 10% discount per module (R13,500 each) **Valid until 6-weeks prior to the start date of each module**
Pay for all three modules together = 15% discount (R38,250)
Shala RYT200 graduates paying for all three modules together = 20% discount (R36,000)

The Shala Cape Town Yoga School is a boutique-style studio and sacred space for people to explore the practice of yoga with the support of inspiring and hands-on teachers. We serve to create an individual experience for each student and offer classes suitable for all levels of yoga experience. With continuing education as our focus, The Shala offers Beginners Classes, Advanced Practices, Workshops, Courses and certified Yoga Teacher Training Courses.
Tamsin Sheehy This 200hr course is facilitated by lead teacher and studio owner Tamsin Sheehy E-RYT500, supported by a team of experienced teachers.
Thomas Sheehy: E-RYT200 (www.naturalhealth21.com) facilitates anatomy and physiology, plus nutrition for life and the whole food menu on retreat.
Adila Groenewald E-RYT200 (owner of Yoga in Walmer Estate) co-wrote the programme and will hold self-inquiry, subtle anatomy and yoga philosophy.
