Sheona Mitchley

About:

Sheona initially discovered yoga as a means to find respite from a busy external world. Having always been drawn to self-inquiry and introspection, yoga provided a platform to discover space within and the more subtle aspects of the self.

Experiencing a variety of yoga styles, Sheona felt drawn to the freedom of aerial yoga and in 2015 completed an Air Yoga teacher-training at The Yoga Republic in Johannesburg. In 2016, she completed the 200 hour teacher training at The Shala Cape Town Yoga School, and in 2017 she trained under Ana Forrest, completing the Forrest Yoga advanced teacher-training. Her teaching encourages a deep connection to self using yoga as a tool to witness whatever mirror the asana presents.

Yoga has provided Sheona with a means to feel and acknowledge the complexities of life and to consider her responses to circumstances, giving a broader perspective and greater awareness of self. This awareness she readily shares with others to help them enhance their own journeys of discovery.
