Tanya first came to yoga in 2012 as a welcome addition to her dance training but it would be many years before she came to know the benefits went far beyond the physical. Dancing contracts often took her overseas and it was from this ever-changing lifestyle a need for a practice to maintain physical health and facilitate recovery developed. This grew in to a love for yoga, a practice whichprovided focus, a sense of constancy and a space for self-acceptance.
With her Honours degree in Clinical Psychology Tanya focuses on creating a meaningful connection between body and mind. She finds immense joy in creating classes specific to the need of each individual and aims to create an environment where her clients can explore their abilities and challenge themselves.
“I truly want people to have benefited from my instruction but more importantly to have been able to use that information; the movement, awareness of their bodies, alignment and breathwork, to have created their own personal yoga journey”.
Tanya currently teaches private, group and corporate classes in Cape Town and surrounding areas.
