Billy the bee was born with the idea to create a truly authentic yoga and meditation company that manufactures and sourced high quality yoga and meditation equipment. After leaving corporate life behind, spending an eat pray yoga time in India resulted in a desire to create a brand that encouraged living a healthier lifestyle by using beautiful, stylish yoga accessories.
When we started this journey, I realized that yoga was more than the amount of practices, it's a way of living, it's a way of not only being in tune with your own body and mind, but also with everything around us. As a result we do business the way we live yoga....Consciously. Conscious of the products we source, conscious of their quality, how they're made and where they're made...conscious of their impact on nature and conscious of the footprint we leave behind...on this planet, and on all the amazing people we meet along the way.
Our brand is called Asoka which connects us with the birthplace of yoga...India. Besides being the name of the leader that unified, the direct translation in Sanskrit is ‘Without sorrow’, living a life not in search of happiness, but as an expression of happiness.
On our 'enlightenment' path, I have learned to lighten up, to enjoy the journey and to live yoga. Every step of the way.
