Find Connection on a Women's Elemental Retreat in Swellendam

Step into sacred time as we journey together through yoga, somatics and breathwork practices in the company of women.

On vast and sacred land, among ancient stone mountains, trees, and creatures we will settle into our bodies, hearts and spirits.

If you are seeking connection, spaciousness and community, then join Deborah Bagg for an Elemental Retreat in Swellendam this November.

Deborah is a mother, a friend, a counselor and lover of the wild, the natural and free. She has been teaching embodies practices for nearly 20 years. In 2001, she moved to Boulder, Colorado to study Somatic Psychology: Dance Movement Therapy at Naropa University. In Boulder, she would meet her spiritual teacher of the feminine arts.

In 2005, she moved to NYC and did her Teachers Training. “I have been a yoga teacher as long as I have been a therapist and these disciples inform who I am and how I move in the world today.” Deborah created Juniper Yoga and Healing arts center in Brooklyn where she had a thriving hub for people to connect and expand.

While in Boulder, Deborah was gifted her first ever retreat with Thich Nhat Hanh at the ripe age of 21. It was life changing. There is alchemy in groups. She immediately knew that she wanted to lead a retreat one day… Fast forward a few years and now she has led more women’s retreats than she can count all over the world. A little spark happened on that retreat that set her vision in motion. Retreats are a gift of time and space to feel ourselves differently and to see what’s possible..

Women have always gathered. It's completely natural to be together, to sit in circle and hold space for ourselves and each other. We RE-MEMBER who we are and how we are in community.

This retreat will be supported by embodiment practices and the transformational nature of women in community, you will receive a space to come home to yourself in your body. Deborah is honored to be your guide on this journey and to offer a space of exploration and expansion.

There are no expectations on retreat. The true transformation emerges in the collective when we come together to practice yoga, breathwork. dance and be vulnerable. “I have never led a retreat where some deeper transformations haven't occurred. The wisdom of the group reveals itself and I am always grateful for the opportunity to curate the container.”, says Deborah

This breathtakingly beautiful farm is situated just outside the historical town of Swellendam in a lush green valley bordering the foothills of the majestic Langeberg Mountain. The setting is simply idyllic, with stunning views of the mountain, green pastures where cattle and horses graze, a serene spring-fed lake, and the lovely Buffeljags River which runs the length of the farm.

This space is magic. It's untouched and quiet. You will have so much natural space to yourselves. The waterfalls, the mountains and the FOOD will be spectacular. The land informs our experience and Somerset Gift is a space that can hold and nurture us.

If this is something you are looking for, then come as you…and don't stay home when you truly want to be in connection.
