Born in the Western Cape, South Africa. Hyon Ja comes from a strong financial corporate background but always had a strong pull towards the esoteric and mystical.
In 2007, when she started suffering from severe panic attacks and anxiety, her quest for self healing started her Reiki journey. Hyon Ja experienced the powerful healing of Reiki in her own life and pursued to complete her Masters in the art of energy healing. The journey of healing have a spiral effect and her meditation practice grew strong and the heart was yearning to integrate the physical aspect of balance which lead to the asana practice of yoga. Hyon Ja trained with David Reglin from the U.S.A and qualified in Rishikesh, India as a multi style 200hr Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher. She had the opportunity to teach at various prestigious Ashrams in India while traveling in the East.
